Buses
NSS lighting ensures uniform light in aisles, entrances and technical areas of buses. The modular installation adapts easily to different interiors, offering a safe, comfortable and technically reliable environment for passengers and operators.
Trains
NSS equips railway trainsets with robust and elegant lighting solutions, such as in the carriages and toilets. The LED bars and strips blend discreetly into the vehicle's design, ensuring visual comfort and consistent performance throughout the whole train.
Ambulances
In ambulances, LED lighting ensures clear, intense light in clinical intervention and storage areas. It's a technical, practical and long-lasting solution, designed to meet everyday challenges and support medical teams with reliability and efficiency.

Test passed (ISQ) for the NRL001 LED bars in this range: resistance to vibration, temperature variation, humidity and electromagnetic compatibility for rail rolling stock.
Flexible lighting
White functional or RGB decorative strip, for curved profiles.

NRL003 MODEL
Light that changes throughout the day.
The NRL003 model is an LED bar equipped with HCL (Human Centric Lighting) technology. This solution was designed for environments where visual comfort and adaptation to natural light are essential, combining technical performance with attention to human needs.
What is HCL (Human Centric Lighting)?
Human Centric Lighting is a technology that automatically adapts colour temperature and light intensity throughout the day, simulating the behaviour of natural light. The aim is to align artificial lighting with people's biological rhythms – the so-called circadian rhythms – thereby promoting:

Stimulation of concentration and cognitive performance
A sense of wellbeing in environments with prolonged occupancy
A more natural, balanced atmosphere throughout the day
LCU + LED DRIVER — DALI-2
The electronics that control the light automatically.
NSS develops the control electronics for its LED lighting range: the LCU (Light Control Unit), the central controller, and the LED Driver, the addressable module installed at each luminaire. The two communicate over a DALI-2 (IEC 62386) bus, and this pair is what lets NSS rigid bars, flexible strips and tubular lighting run in dimmable, tunable-white mode — individually or group addressed, and integrated with the driver's cab and the vehicle data bus.

Short address/group set via physical switch or DALI command, persisted in non-volatile memory.
Tunable-white colour temperature
Two PWM channels (warm/cold), blended to the DALI-requested colour temperature, over a configurable range — typically ~1800K to ~4000K factory default.
2 additional reading-light channels
Local push-button control — short-press toggle, long-press dimming — independent of the general-lighting DALI command.
Ambient light sensor
Dedicated analogue input, with per-channel consumption monitoring available via DALI query.
Persistent parameters
Short address, group, power-on level, fade time/rate — kept in non-volatile memory, surviving power loss.
Remote update and recovery
OTA firmware over HTTPS
Server certificate validation, encrypted images and secure-versioning anti-rollback protection, with the firmware image validated before flashing.
Remote network recovery
A dedicated command, addressed to the unit's serial number, resets network configuration to factory defaults and restarts the unit — no physical access needed. Sensitive configuration fields require cryptographic authorisation before write.
RAIL ROLLING STOCK
Rail lighting: reliable on every train.
Within NSS's rail lighting range — which includes interior and reading lights, headlights and tail lights — the NRL001 modules and T8 LED tubes provide interior lighting for rolling stock, powered at 24VDC or 110VDC, with a 50,000-hour lifespan and compliance with rail technical standards.

The NRL001 functional bar integrates into technical ducting and carriage ceilings, providing uniform, low-consumption interior lighting. With 48 warm-white LEDs per module, 24VDC power supply and consumption of just 9.6W, it's a modular solution ready for series installation along the whole train.

T8 LED tubes for rail lighting
NSS's range of T8 LED tubes is available in three power ratings, all powered at 110VDC, with a 50,000-hour lifespan and a colour rendering index (CRI) above 80.
